Taxi driver attacked in Dublin
A Dublin taxi driver has been attacked with a bottle and his car stolen during an overnight ordeal. The assault happened on the Lucan by-pass when the passenger turned on the driver using a bottle, believed to be broken.
The taxi man was forced to drive along the bypass, but managed to escape as the car approached a local hotel and raised the alarm. The culprit got away with the taxi and the night's takings. Gardai say the driver was treated for shock and injuries at Blanchardstown hospital, but was not kept in.
