Liam Lawlor has failed in his attempt to have Justice Thomas Smith removed from presiding over his contempt of court case.

Liam Lawlor has failed in his attempt to have Justice Thomas Smith removed from presiding over his contempt of court case. Justice Smith said he had no recollection of providing written advice to a company called Green Properties plc, as claimed by counsel for Deputy Lawlor.

He said he had not been compromised, adding that the workings of the court and the tribunal are completely separate. Meanwhile, lawyers for the tribunal are continuing the case against Deputy Lawlor, claiming he breached a court order last October. Senior counsel Frank Clark said the deputy had failed to provide all documents requested and had refused to answer some questions about the records he did provide.
