No ruling on Adair release before Monday

A ruling on whether or not UFF leader Johnny Adair should be set free from prison is now not expected until Monday. Final submissions from lawyers acting for Mr Adair are being heard this afternoon by the North's Sentence Review Commission.

This morning, more security submissions were made on behalf of the RUC and Northern Ireland Office, who argued that Mr Adair had broken the terms of his early release. Mr Adair was excluded from this portion of the hearing to protect police informants upon whose information the RUC based their view.
