IRELAND: The Regency Hotel shooting trial has been further adjourned this morning after the Special Criminal Court heard that material in the case has presented some "unprecedented conundrums".

IRELAND: An internal war has broken out in Fine Gael over election selection for Cork North West, with former TD Áine Collins declaring she feels “betrayed” by a party decision to woo an independent politician onto the ticket.

IRELAND: Children from the Bessborough Mother and Baby Home, some of whom died as late as 1990, are buried in unmarked graves in a Cork City cemetery.

BUSINESS: There is good news for Galway on the jobs front - with 75 new posts announced this morning.

ANALYSIS: In Saturday’s ‘Irish Examiner’, historian Ryle Dwyer described his university education in Texas during the period of the Kennedy assassination and the escalation of American involvement in Vietnam. Today, as the 50th anniversary of the massacre at My Lai approaches, he shows how it took 20 months after the slaughter of hundreds of civilians by American soldiers for the story to become public knowledge, and that no one has really been held accountable.
