Community Employment Scheme bearing fruit in the southside of Limerick city
The club has been running a Community Employment Scheme since 1999. Since it began, the scheme has gone from strength to strength.
From its offices in Rathbane, the scheme has incorporated similar operations in St Patrick’s GAA Club and Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish.
This includes the operation of a meals on wheels service around the areas of Janesboro and the Roxboro Road as well as other areas across the city.
The Community Employment Scheme has become invaluable to the socially deprived area due to the services the provide, but also to the participants who work on the scheme.
We wnet along to learn a little more.
