Exhibition may replace memorial to abuse victims
With a budget of €500,00 set aside for the last eight years, a memorial was planned to have been built to the rear of the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin’s north inner city.
The design that emerged from an international competition, which received 32 submissions, was granted permission by Dublin City Council. But it was subsequently refused by An Bord Pleanála in late 2013 after appeals were lodged.
