Killarney’s Killeen House Hotel has €2m price

Killeen House Hotel and its Rozzers Restaurant was also recently voted Ireland’s best three-star establishment.
Business at the hotel, which has strong golfing links, has been built up by owners Michael and Geraldine Rosney over the past 25 years.
Mr Rosney said: “Geraldine and I have worked hard, over the last quarter century, to create a very unique hospitality product and we are very proud of where we have brought the Killeen House to, in that period.
“For a variety of different reasons, we feel now is the right time to put it on the market, and we look forward to seeing the next chapter in the life and times of the Killeen House unfolding in the years to come.”
The hotel, comprising 23 guest bedrooms, is number three of 102 hotels in Kerry on TripAdvisor.
The attached Rozzers Restaurant has been rated by TripAdvisor users as the best restaurant in Killarney, and number two of 526 restaurants in Kerry.
Meanwhile, the complex has also achieved a 9.5/10 rating on Booking.com, being classified as “exceptional”.
Business property company Christie and Co is handling the sale.
The specialist auctioneers said: “The Killeen House Hotel and Rozzers Restaurant is a beautifully presented property, with a very well-deserved reputation as one of the best hotels and restaurants in the entire Kerry region.
“It presents prospective purchasers with a very strong and well-established trading business, with potential to lengthen the trading season, as well as extend the property, subject to planning permission”.
Due to the considerable amount of investment in the site over the past decade, little more will be required in the foreseeable future.
The asking price for the complex is €2m.
