Five men charged over stolen cars

Five males, including three teenagers, yesterday appeared in court on multiple charges relating to a crime rampage during which, it was alleged, several high-powered cars had been stolen.

The five, who range in age from 16 to 27, appeared before Limerick District Court on charges of burglary, theft, and unauthorised taking of cars.

One man Jamie Marshall aged 27, of Altimara Court, Thomondgate, was also accused of two counts of dangerous driving relating to an alleged high-speed pursuit in Limerick city centre earlier this week.
