A 25-year-old Irishwoman savagely beaten with a motorcycle chain lock by three men while on holiday in France has been discharged from hospital.

She has told police she didn’t get a clear view of her attackers.

The assault occurred in the southern French town of Avignon at around 6.30am yesterday morning.
