BASTILLE DAY ATTACK
A lorry loaded with weapons and hand grenades drove on to a pavement for more than a mile, ploughing through Bastille Day revellers in the French resort city of Nice and killing at least 80 people before police shot dead the driver.

World leaders expressed dismay, sadness and solidarity with France over the Nice attack, carried out by a man who drove a lorry into crowds of people celebrating France's national day, killing at least 80 people.

The Minister of State with Responsibility for Disabilities Finian McGrath says he was appalled at what he saw on an RTÉ Investigates programme last night.
