Bridal shop owner charged with theft

The owner of a bridal shop has been sent for trial at the Limerick Circuit criminal court on charges alleging theft.

Shirley Flanagan, aged 35, of Rathurd, Donoughmore, Co Limerick, is charged with four counts of theft from four women under theft and fraud legislation.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at Robelle Bridal, Annacotty, on separate dates between January 4, 2015, and May 13, 2015.

She is accused of stealing property worth a total of €3,650.

Ms Flanagan was remanded on continuing bail by Judge Marian O’Leary yesterday at Limerick District Court.

As part of bail conditions, she has to sign on twice weekly at Roxboro Garda Station, reside at her home address, and not to make contact with witnesses.

Legal aid was granted.
