The sights and sounds from the Cahirmee Horse Fair

The Cahirmee Horse Fair is held each July in the town of Buttevant in Co Cork.

The ancient horse fair was originally held at the Fair Field of Cahirmee. In 1921 it was transferred to the town of Buttevant.

Following the horse fair at Buttevant this year, the town was left in a mess with rubbish lining the street.

These scenes greeted locals and passers-by the evening after the Cahirmee Horse Fair.
