Wexford couple find US fame after running marathon together to celebrate turning 80

Wexford couple Kay and Joe O’Regan have appeared on American TV after capturing the hearts of people by finishing the Irish Examiner Cork City Marathon hand in hand to celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary and their 80th year.

Their inspirational story has gone transatlantic with ESPN, Runner’s World and the TODAY show in America picking up on their marvellous achievement and interviewing Kay and Joe via phone to highlight their adventurous spirit to American viewers.
