Mystery US tipper picks up €4k tab in Kerry bar

A mystery American golfer stunned locals in a popular bar in Tralee, Co Kerry when he spent around €4,500 in about two hours tipping staff and buying drinks.

The Blasket Bar in Castle St, Tralee, has a late-night bar on Tuesday when a party of four American golfers walked in around 10pm.

One of them, described as a man in his 40s and Asian American, threw his credit card behind the bar and said the immortal words: “The drinks are on me.”
