Animal rights activists will protest outside Curraheen Park Greyhound Track’s regular weekend meet in Cork tonight to highlight the scandal of greyhound exports from Ireland to win-or-die races in China.

Earlier this year, nine Irish greyhounds were exported from Ireland, via the UK, to race at Canidrome Racetrack in Macau, China.

One of those dogs ran his last race at Curraheen on December 17. Dogs who do not finish in the top three in Canidrome are destroyed.
