WATCH: Fans give their opinion on Dropkick Murphys' Live at the Marquee gig

Live at the Marquee kicked off with a wonderfully wild performance by the American Celtic band The Dropkick Murphys.

The punk rockers, who are celebrating their 20 th anniversary this year, belted out their greatest hits like, ‘I’m Shipping up to Boston’ and ‘Rose Tattoo’ to a delighted Cork audience.

The crowd was in high spirits, especially when front man Ken Casey invited about 60 members of the audience on-stage to sing and dance along for the last few songs.

Judging from the rapturous cheers and applause, it’s fair to say summer 2016 is officially underway here on Leeside.
