Killarney brewery needs planning to change water into beer

Changing from dealing with water to beer in one Killarney business will need planning permission.

Setting up a brewery in a former mineral water and soft drinks factory constitutes a change of use according to An Bord Pleanála.

In operation for more than a year, the Killarney Brewing Company has offered ales as well as tap room tours and a tasting bar — with all beers and stouts named after local myths and legends.
