A Co Kerry brewery has won a planning row to continue the operations of its current plant after being granted retrospective planning permission for three large storage tanks.

Ambitious plans for a brewery and whiskey distillery outside Killarney, Co Kerry, are under appeal to Bord Pleanála on the grounds of “fire-water retention”.

Changing from dealing with water to beer in one Killarney business will need planning permission.
