VIDEO: Body found in second car in River Lee

The search for the driver of a car that entered the River Lee yesterday morning has led to the discovery of a second car, in which a body was found.

The body is that of Douglas Twomey. He had last been seen on Tuesday morning, at his home in Passage West.

Gardaí had issued a missing person’s alert for him on Thursday evening, saying he might have been driving a maroon-coloured Hyundai Santa Fe jeep. That is understood to be the vehicle in which his body was found yesterday.
