HSE official pleads guilty to €92k theft

A former HSE official was arrested and charged yesterday with 80 theft and fraud charges related to €92,000 in cash and she immediately signed a plea of guilty to all counts.

Sgt Clodagh O’Sullivan arrested and charged Jennifer O’Driscoll, of St John’s Terrace, World’s End, Kinsale, Co Cork, at Cork District Court yesterday.

Sgt O’Sullivan said 38 of the charges were for theft and 42 were for deception. The charges refer to thefts of various sums of cash at North Lee social work department, Blackpool, Cork, on dates from May 29, 2008, and January 1, 2013.
