Good news for RTÉ radio in listenership figures

The latest listenership figures make happy reading for RTÉ Radio 1 with all but one of its flagship shows making significant audience gains.

Yesterday’s Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) results show the biggest increases for the broadcaster’s news programmes, with Morning Ireland and News at One each increasing their listeners by 43,000 year-on-year. The former is now on 460,000 and the latter on 350,000.

Two of the presenters who were brought in to bolster the station’s younger audience in the 15-34 categories also made big gains.
