Man slashes woman’s face in Cork city

Gardaí are investigating the possibility a daylight knife attack on a young woman, leaving her with serious slash injuries to the face, may be connected to another incident which happened in Cork City just over a week ago.

Gardaí said the 29-year-old sustained facial stab wounds during an incident involving a male at Ardfallen Terrace, off Friar St.

She was taken to Cork University Hospital where she is continuing to receive treatment.
