Buncrana tragedy: Special support for officers

Emergency services involved in the Buncrana tragedy which claimed the lives of five members of the one family have been offered specialist support services for any affected officers.

Seán McGrotty, 49, his sons Mark, 12, and Evan, 8, his mother-in-law Ruth Daniels, 59, and his sister-in-law Jodi Lee Daniels, aged 14, all died in the tragedy last Sunday.

His four-month-old daughter Rionaghac-Ann, who was also in the SUV, was rescued by local man Davitt Walsh, who swam out to the sinking vehicle.
