Gardaí to check jail visits to crime boss in murder probe

Gardaí are to check all communication and prison visits involving a crime boss as part of their investigation into Monday’s murder of dissident republican Vincent Ryan.

The north Dublin criminal is serving time for a number of serious offences.

He, along with another north Dublin drug trafficker, are believed by gardaí to have ordered the murder of Alan Ryan, Vincent’s brother, in September 2012.
