Despite denials of a rumoured reunion last year, the US band released a Christmas single on December 24 last and confirmed its reunion a year later. A new album on Columbia Records is expected sometime this year.
Those interested in attending the festival while raising money for a good cause can cycle or run to Electric Picnic as part of the Rabo- Direct Tour De Picnic 2016, in which participants are given a weekend ticket to Electric Picnic in exchange for raising a minimum of €380 for the ISPCC, Headway, and the Jack & Jill Foundation.
Family weekend camping tickets, Sunday day tickets, and all campervan passes have sold out, but weekend camping tickets are available for €234.50.
These were available on instalment plans, and an initial deposit of €84.50 plus service fees charged upon purchase, followed by two instalment fees of €75 on May 3 and June 3.
