Fianna Fáil leader Micheal Martin has called for an all-party agreement on key reforms to the way the Dáil runs before new government negotiations begin, amid an ongoing stalemate between his party and Fine Gael.

The Cork South Central TD issued the demand in his first major intervention since Friday’s vote.

In a statement released last night, Mr Martin said the failure to implement political reform has been “one of the biggest broken promises of the outgoing government” and must be addressed.
