Enda Kenny scrambles to to secure support of Independents to hold onto power

Embattled Taoiseach Enda Kenny will scramble today to secure the support of Independents in a desperate bid to cling onto power.

The move has been forced on Fine Gael’s leader after several leading Fianna Fáil TDs insisted they will not prop up Fine Gael, either as coalition partners or as a minority in government.
