Croke Park will have to apply for special permission to host any more concerts this year — after both dates for the highly anticipated Bruce Springsteen concerts sold out in just under two hours.

The New Jersey icon will play at GAA headquarters on May 27 and 29, while it has also been confirmed that Beyoncé will play at the venue on 9 July.

Croke Park, which holds more than 82,000 people, has permission to hold three concerts a year. For any further concerts, it has has to submit a licence application to Dublin City Council. Therefore, it will need to make such an application for any additional concerts in 2016.
