Killarney promoted as winner of international award

One of the country’s top tourist towns, Killarney, Co Kerry, is seeking to flag itself as a three-in-a-row of an international award.

The Purple Flag is the international gold standard for night-time management of the economy and a safe and friendly environment from 5pm to 5am.

Winners since 2014, an effort to retain the flag in 2016 was launched at Killarney Garda Station.
