A woman has been hospitalised following a roadside robbery in Co Wexford.  She was driving to work when she was stopped by what was described as a dark-coloured, older type Ford Mondeo, which had a blue flashing light attached, giving the impression it was a garda car.

The number of influenza-like cases in the first five weeks of this year are up more than two and a half times   A report produced by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre shows there have been 1,095 cases reported from January 1 until February 6.
