Case of attack on elderly man in Cork city adjourned

The Director of Public Prosecutions is to give directions in a fortnight in the case against a man in custody charged with an alleged attack on a 79-year-old man in Cork City.

Seán Heelan appeared at Cork District Court by video link from prison yesterday on the charge of assault causing harm to the pensioner on December 2, 2015.

Inspector Fergal Foley said directions were still not available from the DPP in the case, but that they would be available on February 11.
