Woman ‘in fear of ex who damaged car with iron bar’

A woman claimed she was put in fear by her ex-husband when he arrived at her home at night and allegedly smashed the wing mirror off her car with an iron bar but he said through his solicitor that this was “all lies”.

The allegation and denial were put forward at Cork District Court yesterday in the course of a bail application by the accused Kevin Hickey, of Argideen Lawn, Deanrock, Togher, Cork.

He was before the court on charges of causing criminal damage to his ex-wife’s car at Capwell Rd, Turner’s Cross, Cork, on Tuesday night, January 19, and contravening a protection order by putting Tina Hickey in fear.
