A Northern Irish man who served time for an armed robbery stole a car in Cork in the past few days and drove it dangerously in the Blackrock and Douglas area.

Mario Felloni, aged 32, of no fixed address, left Belfast several months ago and came to live in Cork and came to the attention of gardaí on January 15 when he stole a car.

Insp Fergal Foley said the owner of the car went into Novecento pizza restaurant on Douglas St at 8.45pm and Felloni drove away in his car.
