The sister of a Limerick man who was killed in the US earlier this year has said she is relieved that an appeal over the custody of her niece and nephew went in her family's favour yesterday. 39-year-old Jason Corbett died during a domestic incident at his home in North Carolina on August 2.

Ten people were evacuated from a block of apartments in Limerick city centre in the early hours of this morning after a suspected arson attack at a Japanese restaurant located on the ground floor of the building.
