Two Labour ministers have dismissed any possibility of going into coalition with Sinn Féin claiming the party has “no moral compass”.

Kevin Humphries and Kathleen Lynch both ruled out the idea of a partnership with Gerry Adams’s party after the next general election.

Their comments come after Mr Adams left open the possibility of doing a deal with Labour, saying any such decision would have to be taken by the party’s árd fheis.
