Full speed ahead for West Cork's Allihies to get high-speed broadband

Telecoms company Eir confirmed yesterday that it will deliver high-speed broadband to Allihies in West Cork after its entry in the company’s nationwide Fibre to the Home competition landed a runner-up spot.

The delivery will bring broadband speeds of up to 1,000Mbps (1 Gigabit) directly into the homes and businesses of the scenic West Cork parish on the shores of the Atlantic.
