Education Minister Jan O’Sullivan plans to end ‘scandal’ of prefab classrooms

Education Minister Jan O’Sullivan has promised to eradicate the “scandal” of prefab classrooms.

Announcing hundreds of new building projects, Ms O’Sullivan said a census of all schools will be carried out next year to count the number of prefabs being used and their locations.

Running from 2016 to 2021, the investment will provide funding for 310 major school projects, resulting in an extra 62,000 permanent school places.
