Bailey’s partner wants ‘biased’ judge hearing her case replaced

Lawyers for Ms Thomas are to ask High Court judge Mr Justice John Hedigan to stop dealing with matters in her case due to alleged objective bias on the judge’s part.
Michael Lynn, counsel for Ms Thomas, told Mr Justice Hedigan yesterday he was instructed to ask the judge to recuse himself from further dealing with matters in Ms Thomas’ case, brought against the Garda commissioner and the State arising from her arrest in connection with the December 1996 murder in West Cork of French film-maker Sophie Toscan du Plantier.
