Revenue emails scam warning

The Revenue Commissioners is warning people to be wary of bogus emails or telephone calls purporting to come from Revenue.

The emails seek personal information from taxpayers in connection with a tax refund or seeking credit/debit card details and Revenue has advised taxpayers that these emails are bogus.

“The Revenue Commissioners never send emails requiring customers to send personal information via email or pop-up windows,” it said.
