WATCH: Rory Gallagher storms UK music video chart

Rory Gallagher has stormed to the No 2 slot in the UK music video chart — 20 years after his premature death.

It’s his landmark August 1970 performance at the Isle of Wight Festival with Taste — the band with which he established himself as a world-renowned guitarist — that has earned him the accolade.

In a film of the band’s set at the festival headlined by Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, and The Who, director Murray Lerner captured the virtuosity for which Gallagher continued to build a reputation in a solo career that followed Taste’s break-up months after the concert.
