Gardaí appeal for help to trace missing man
John O’Sullivan, 36, was last seen in the Ballyphehane area at 8.30am last Friday, September 18.
He is described as being 6’ 1” in height and of slim build. When last seen, he was wearing glasses, and was dressed in casual clothing, wearing jeans and a hoodie jacket. He was driving a red Ford Fiesta with registration 04C-11678
John’s uncle, Declan O’Donoghue, said that or his nephew not to make contact with his family was “very out of character”.
“It’s just very out of character for him and the whole family are very worried,” said Mr O’Donoghue. “He hasn’t made contact since Friday morning. He left around 8.30am to go to work but never showed up. His last contact was a Viber message around 9.15am but his phone is off since, so we are all very concerned.”
Mr O’Donoghue said John’s parents, family, friends, and work colleagues were all very concerned for his safety and called on anyone with any information to contact them or the gardaí.
“Everyone is just very worried,” he said. “It is just terrible sitting here and not knowing what to do. We are just trying to get through it. We are asking for anyone with information, even if you think it’s insignificant, please get in touch and let us know.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Togher Garda Station at 021-4947120 or any Garda station. The family can also be contacted through a Facebook page set up at www.facebook.com/ jecosmissing.
John’s uncle, Declan, can be contacted at 087-9570537.
