Elderly woman seriously injured during burglary

Gardai are investigating after an elderly woman sustained serious injuries when her home was burgled by two intruders in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The woman, living in Bray, Co Wicklow, awoke at around 5am to discover two men in her home.

She was badly injured by the pair and the house was badly ransacked, although yesterday gardaí said it was still unclear what items, if any, were taken by the raiders.
