Meath Rose Elysha Brennan has been crowned this year’s Rose of Tralee after a whirlwind festival of poems, party pieces and all the parades a town could handle.

The 22-year-old touched hearts across the country on Monday night, during the first of two live shows, when she told of being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of cancer.
