CIT is to host the International Conference on Entrepreneurship Education in May 2017, which will attract the best brains of business-orientated researchers and educators from around the world.
Organised by the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence at CIT, the event will offer a great opportunity for participants to debate and exchange their experiences of the major challenges and advances in enterprise education.
With its theme of ‘Building for the Future — Entrepreneurship Education, Training and Policy’, the conference will focus on problems and questions rather than on ready-made solutions through a unique and innovative format, with an award for the best question posed.
Helle Neergaard, president of the international organising committee said he was delighted to bring the conference to Ireland.
“Universities across Europe are queuing up to host such conferences which shows its popularity among entrepreneruship educators,” said Prof Neergaard. “Our Irish friends have previously delivered outstanding international conferences in entrepreneurship, so I have no doubt that this conference will also be a great success.
“Ireland has so much to contribute in terms of knowledge and expertise in the area of entrepreneurship education and I sincerely hope that educators and trainers, universities and institutions, across Ireland will support CIT in its efforts to put together an attractive programme.
“The conference really makes a difference to those who attend and we have members who wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Breda Kenny, head of CIT’s Hincks Centre, said the conference will significantly enhance the scientific, as well as the practical, scope for entrepreneurship education researchers from tertiary and secondary institutions, as well as for trainers and policy makers.
