Cancer support centre to open in Youghal by year end

A new support centre is being planned for cancer sufferers and their families in the east Cork-west Waterford region.

The service, expected to be operational by year end, is an alternative to the long journeys to Cork or Waterford cities for those seeking support treatment.

Cuan House will be based at Friar Street, close to Youghal’s town centre. The two-storey property has been, for the past 30 years, a B&B. It comprises seven bedrooms, living room, kitchen and rear car park with front and rear entrances.
