Reilly defends Tusla’s €120k payment for early review

Children’s Minister James Reilly yesterday defended a decision by the Child and Family Agency, Tusla, to pay a company over €120,000 to review the organisation six months after it was established.

Government TD Ciara Conway had raised the issue with the minister at a meeting of the Oireachtas Committee on Health and children. She asked why the State agency was commissioning reports so soon after it was established.

“I thought Tusla was about doing things differently,” the Labour Party TD said.
