Paschal Donohoe unaware if O’Brien Aer Lingus contact was recorded

Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe says he does not know if contact made by businessman Denis O’Brien to the Government during its decision-making on the Aer Lingus deal was officially recorded.

Mr Donohoe insisted that Mr O’Brien, who opposed the sell-off, did not contact him directly.

“I am aware that some contact was made,” Mr Donohoe said, adding that he was unable to say who the contact was with or what form it took.
