Man denies he is person sought over murder

A man has denied before the High Court that he is the person being sought in connection with what has been described as the “racially motivated” murder of man in Manchester more than a decade ago.

The UK police are seeking the extradition of Alfred “Ardi” Kurti, aged 31, from Kosovo, who is facing several charges including the murder of Kalvinder “Bob” Singh in Manchester in April 2004.

Mr Singh suffered fatal head injuries when he was beaten with wooden sticks after leaving a curry house.
