Stolen van goes on 85km escapade, court hears

A van was stolen from outside a commercial premises in Cork and driven dangerously at various points along an 85km journey to Killarney, it was alleged yesterday.

The alleged escapade occurred on Thursday and came to an end at Park Rd, Killarney, Co Kerry.

Jason O’Brien, aged 33, of St Vincent’s hostel, Angelsea Terrace, Cork, was arrested and brought before Killorglin District Court on Thursday.
