100 Dunnes jobs at risk as Gorey store set to close

There are fears for the future of up to 100 workers at Dunnes Stores in Gorey after workers were told the store was to close “immediately”.

Mandate trade union said workers were called to a meeting just after 6pmyesterday and told of “immediate closure”. It said no explanation was given.

Mandate general secretary John Douglas said: “There are 100 workers in Wexford tonight who have no idea whether they have a job or not tomorrow.
